The River Dart in Totnes, my home. This is an old linocut with some new digital colour added. It's a view from my mothers home. I cut the plate whilst sitting on the bank of the river with this view in front of me.
What a nice graphic landscape! It's interesting, I would not have realized it was a linocut if you hadn't said. I like the way you added the bold colors to go with your black ink lines!
Thank you everyone for your lovely comments. We have been away to Rye in Sussex, UK and as beautiful as it is there, it is lovely to return home (particularly after an eight hour drive)to the beauty that it here!
Beautiful illustration!

ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely picture; I am amazed it is a lino cut, thinking it pen and ink. Your mother has an enviable view.
